Greenway is a Peruvian agroindustrial company, owned by a family group that has invested in Peru’s industrial sector for more than 100 years.
We are committed to growing and delivering the best organic produce, in order to satisfy the highest standards required by the international markets.
OUR FARM
Our organic farm “El Monte” is strategically located in the Chira Valley, 85 km away from the city of Piura and 32 km away from the port of Paita, the second most important of Peru.
Exceptional climatic conditions, due to our proximity to the equatorial line, ensure a uniform climate which allows cultivation throughout the year and therefore access to niche market seasons.
Our property has a total of 500 hectares, 150 correspond to organic Williams bananas, and this year (2019), after following our expansion and diversification plan, we will start the harvest of our new 100 hectares of high-density Ventura blueberries.
CLIMATE
EXCEPTIONAL CONDITIONS
The dry desert conditions of the region help keep our farm free from pathogens and threats such as hurricanes and floods, giving us an advantage over the production of other tropical countries.
The farm is located in the water basin of the Chira river, its water supply comes from the Poechos dam system,the largest in thecountry, from which our irrigation channels are served. In addition to this, the farm is directly connected to that same river, which guarantees a constant source of water.
ACCREDITATIONS
The lack of neighboring plantations as well as our particular topography (we are surrounded by hills) help us maintain our organic conditions.
OUR CLIENTS
Peru’s strategic location, its open foreign trade policies, as well as international free trade agreements facilitate access to a large number of markets.
OUR COMMUNITY
The neighboring settlement of Tamarindo helps provide with the necessary workforce for these labor intensive endeavor all year long.
